Michael Asharley

Michael is a graduate of the University of Ghana, Legon where he majored in Psychology. He cultivated a passion for storytelling by volunteering at the campus radio station, Radio Univers.

Since joining JoyNews in 2021 he has dedicated much of his output to shedding light on climate-related stories and sanitation issues. He played a pivotal role in the JoyNews Clean Ghana Campaign, an initiative focused on raising awareness about the worsening sanitation crisis in Accra.

Michael aspires to become a climate ambassador, advocating for sustainable practices and fostering a harmonious coexistence with other species on the planet. He is also committed to creating change and nurturing a cleaner, safer environment.
