Alpha Daffae Senkpeni is a multimedia journalist with over a decade experience. He is the Sub-Editor of FrontPage Africa newspaper based in Monrovia. He also coordinates a network of journalists in the country. He has been a New Narratives fellow since 2017.

Amongst several of his beats, he has a special interest in health, rule of law as well as women and girls’ issues. He has contributed features to the New York-based “Women and Girls Deeply”.

Alpha covered the 2014 Ebola outbreak in Liberia from which he garnered a lot of valuable experience. In the aftermath of the outbreak he was invited to speak on the significance of Risk Communication during epidemics at the Canada Science Policy Conference 2016 held in Ottawa.

Alpha is also an analyst on China-Africa issues and has written several dozens of articles and news stories on the topic. He spent a year on scholarship in China in 2017 and earned a diploma in China and New Media Studies from Renmin University in Beijing.

Alpha is a first year Law student at the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law at the University of Liberia. He has a Bachelor degree in Mass Communication from the University of Liberia.
