Moses Bailey started his journalism career in 2010 as a reporter at Radio Gbarnga. He continues to report for the station along with Bush Chicken and Local Voice. Moses has been a New Narratives fellow since 2017. In a project on the extractives sector Moses’s reporting forced the Bong County superintendent to admit he had received County Development Funds from the mining company Arcelor Mittal, something he had previously denied. Moses’s reporting forced great scrutiny of the CDF process in Bong and calls for greater transparency.

In 2011, the Press Union of Liberia recognized Moses as the Human Rights Reporter of the Year. In 2017, he was the Development Reporter of the Year. Moses was a 2017 fellow of the U.S. Department of State-sponsored Edward R. Murrow Program for Research and Investigative Journalists. Bailey is a fellow of the Mandela Institute for Development Studies, Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), and the Institute for Peace in Africa (IPA), among other prestigious fellowship programs in Africa. Bailey is also an Internews Health Journalism Fellow.  As a youth leader in advocacy and civic education, Bailey currently serves as the regional coordinator for NAYMOTE-Liberia, an organization working with youth to promote democratic governance. Moses holds Bachelor degree in Science in Secondary Education from Cuttington University.
