Boakai Josephine Sumo is a skilled finance and administration professional with a Master of Science in Business Administration, specializing in Auditing and Control, from Kristianstad University in Sweden. With over eight years of experience in the financial and administrative sectors across shipping, legal, and nonprofit industries in Liberia, she has established a strong track record in managing budgets, producing financial reports, and strengthening internal controls.

Formerly serving as Assistant Manager for Finance and Administration at Sharaf Shipping Agency, Josephine lead key financial operations, oversees statutory compliance, and manages internal and external audits. She played a pivotal role in setting up the agency’s financial systems and office operations during its launch phase in Liberia.

Previously, Josephine served as Administrative and Finance Officer at the Liberian National Bar Association, where she implemented new administrative systems, managed donor funds, and ensured robust financial reporting, culminating in the successful audit of three years of the Bar’s operations.

Josephine’s career began at OBT Shipping Liberia, where she supported core accounting functions and introduced improvements in cash management and reporting accuracy.
