Mahmud Mohammed-Nurudeen

Mahmud Mohammed-Nurudeen is a Ghanaian multimedia journalist, researcher, and science
communicator specializing in climate change, air quality, environmental sustainability, and
public health.
He produces and hosts Climate Focus on JoyNews, a programme that examines climate and
environmental issues affecting communities across Ghana. Through journalism,
documentaries, and human-interest storytelling, he makes complex scientific and
environmental topics accessible to diverse audiences.
Mahmud is the Founder and Executive Director of the Centre for Climate Change & Food
Security (CCCFS), where he combines research, advocacy, and storytelling to promote
evidence-based policymaking and community action on clean air, climate resilience,
sustainable agriculture, and environmental protection.
His reporting explores the impacts of air pollution, climate change, water stress, biodiversity
loss, and environmental health risks, helping to inform public debate and support better
environmental decision-making.
